    DID YOU KNOW

    UofL’s Youth Violence Prevention Research Center, an entity of the School of Public Health and Information Sciences, along with the Louisville Metro Mayor’s Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods, hosted a block party on Saturday to kick off YVPRC’s three-year social norming campaign aimed at reducing youth violence in Louisville by practicing Pride, Peace, Prevention. The center was established in 2015 after the SPHIS received a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

    UofL employees to migrate to new email platform

    University of Louisville employees will have their email accounts migrate from Microsoft Exchange Outlook to Microsoft’s Office365 Outlook within the next few months and into the fall semester. Read more about the migration in UofL News

    UofL hosting 2017 National Speech and Debate

    May 27, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Belknap Campus
    The University of Louisville is hosting the 2017 National Speech and Debate on Belknap Campus on Saturday, May 27. More than 1,300 students, judges, staff, and volunteers will be on campus, including almost 900 of the nation’s top academic high school students from across the country.

    Panel: When grief is complicated

    The Hospice Foundation of America’s program, When Grief is Complicated, is being sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Program for Palliative Care and Chronic Illness and Hosparus. National panelists include Ken Doka, Robert Neimeyer and Therese Rando. The video presentation will be followed by discussion led by local experts in grief therapy. CEs are available at no charge for nurses and social workers. Other disciplines including counselors and psychologists can purchase approved CEs.     Alicia Kelso is the director of social media and digital content. She joined UofL in 2015 as director of communications at the Brandeis School of Law.
