    UofL will host the 23rd annual “Reel Latin America” film festival Oct. 6-Nov. 1, with screenings of nine films in Spanish with English subtitles. The Spanish section of UofL’s classical and modern languages department organizes the event in conjunction with Spanish language newspaper Al Dia en America.

    Session focuses on Muhammad Ali’s influence on the Civil Rights movmement

    Oct. 6, 6-8 p.m., Chao Auditorium, Ekstrom Library

    UofL scholar-activists and prominent leaders will discuss how Ali inspired and supported the Civil Rights Movement. We will examine what it means to be a civil rights leader now and discuss what participation in movements looks like today.

    Surplus Warehouse to reopen Wednesday

    Hours are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Department representatives may select items for department use only. There is no charge if the department representatives remove the item(s) from Surplus. Departments may request for a fee that Physical Plant deliver the reserved items by completing the Chargeable Service Request online form.

    Dept. of Medicine releases KLCRP Budget Spreadsheet, PCF Templates

    The Dept. of Medicine has released a budget spreadsheet template and two pre-filled PCFs (one with Clinical Attachment) for the Kentucky Lung Cancer Research Program (KLCRP) Cycle 16 proposal process. These forms are available online

    The UofL Cards SPEAK program provides QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) suicide prevention training on campus to faculty, staff and students. The training enhances the participant’s knowledge, awareness, listening skills, communication skills concerning college student suicide, and the ability to compassionately ask students about suicidal thoughts.
