Acting United States Secretary of the Army Patrick Murphy celebrated the 100th anniversary of the ROTC with University of Louisville ROTC cadets during an early morning physical training session April 1.

The session was held in the early morning hours at the Trager Center indoor practice facility next to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.

Murphy joined the cadets in running, lifting weights, pushups, sit ups, squats and other exercises, including pulling 70-pounds of weights on a sled, flipping tractor tires and carrying two five-gallon jugs of water for 40 yards.

Afterward, Murphy recorded a public service announcement with the cadets.
