The eighth Startup Weekend Louisville is Friday through Sunday.

The event will be held in Harry Frazier Hall, 110 W. Brandeis Ave., from Friday March 11 at 6:30 p.m. to Sunday March 13 at 9 p.m.

Registration is required for participants, but free and open to the public are Friday’s initial pitches at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s final presentations at 5 p.m.

Startup Weekend is known as a “three-day startup crash course.” Participants – including developers, designers, engineers and marketing professionals – present ideas, choose the best ones and see how far they can take them in 54 hours.

Startup Weekends have been held in more than 400 cities around the world since 2007.
