LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering will present senior capstone projects at the inaugural Engineering Design & Innovation Showcase.
The event takes place April 18 in the ballroom of the Student Activities Center on Belknap Campus. It will open to the public at 4 p.m.; awards will be given at 6 p.m.
More than 350 students make up the 89 student teams presenting prototypes or solutions for real-world problems. Departments represented are chemical, civil, electrical, industrial and mechanical engineering and computer engineering and computer science.
“These capstone projects help students become workforce-ready by requiring them to follow design constraints, budgets, reviews and deadlines,” said Speed School Dean Emmanuel G. Collins. “We are replacing individual capstone presentations with this event to enable the community to see the full force of a University of Louisville engineering education.”
